I finally found out why ESPN wants to see Murray State and Nevada play.
Win Percent Rank – (WSU - 13 and Nevada - 21)
RPI Rank – (WSU - 26 and Nevada - 74)
Strength of Schedule Rank – (WSU - 66 and Nevada - 196)
Offensive Points per game Rank – (WSU - 31 and Nevada - 122)
Assists per game Rank – (WSU - 63 and Nevada - 113)
Field Goal Percent Rank – (WSU - 35 and Nevada -110)
Defensive Points per game Rank – (WSU - 40 and Nevada - 90)
Rebounds per game Rank – (WSU - 34 and Nevada - 76)
Free-throw percentage Rank – (WSU - 73 and Nevada - 300)
Steals per game Rank – (WSU - 180 and Nevada - 204)
Turnovers per game Rank – (WSU - 63 and Nevada - 117)
*Three points goals per game Rank – (WSU - 101 and Nevada - 56)
See this really isn't the ESPN Bracketbuster Weekend, it's the ESPN "Jack it up Baby" Weekend event. Nevada Shoots 19.8 three-balls per game and makes 7.7. However, our Shockers only shoot 19.7 three-balls per game and makes 7.0.
I just wish ESPN would have let us (WSU), know that this was the deciding factor. I am certain Coach Marshall would have adjusted his offensive strategy to accommodate this requirement.
As you all can clearly see there is really nothing here to see, move along, move along.
