I have been thinking about this topic to toss out for the wise masses on SN to discuss. Here are some lingering questions that have yet to be answered:
Future of NCAA: What will happen with the NCAA as we know it? Will SEC football start a new power structure? Are teams like Kansas and Arizona waiting to get punishment handed down and then seceding to avoid it? Can payment of players actually be regulated without a governing body?
Is college basketball going the way of tennis, golf and the Euro systems, where the extremely gifted and talented enter a professional track at an early age and the other players are brought up through true amateurism while getting their shot as a professional later?
Finally what will the social justice movement do to the sport? Are we going to see a balance of power shift to HBCUs as they begin to sign more and more high level talent.
Just some things to kick around that touch on subjects other than CoVid and our coach’s departure.
