I'm more intereseted in how many wins before we are considered an at-large lock. I think the over/under is 8. We have 9 conference games plus the bracketbuster plus Arch Madness. Get to 26 wins and we're a lock. 25 puts us on a strong bubble. 24 and the bubble likely bursts. One potential issue this year is "the last 10." The commentators always say that how a team does in it's last 10 is a big factor. We've got @ CU, MSU X 2, UNI, and the BB versus a top 50 RPI. The other five are of course potential pot holes as well. Lots of work to do!

No mention of the Shox in this article but it does talk to some of the pretzel logic of the polls...

or me, I could care less about the polls. Let's just take one game at a time and win the Valley.

If we still have 3 losses on Feb 12th, I might just create the 4th Final Four thread.

Dofo will make one. @forevershockerfan: will have one. And @ShockerFever: will have one in jest.
We know we won't go 18-0. Before I want to even think about a Final 4, we need to win the Valley, win the Lew, one or both. Making the Dance on a regular basis would be nice. Just getting to the Dance would be cool. Either tasks will be a tall order but not beyond the realm of possibilities. The law of averages demands that we win the Lew someday. Even if we take 2nd in both, if we only lose 3 Valley games, we at least have a shot. It would really also help to win a tough Bracket Buster Game. So we will lose 1,2,3, or 4 total games in the Valley race? That is a tough call and we have some very tough upcoming games. I'm guessing 3, but better would be nice. 4 or 5 Valley loses is flirting with putting our destiny in the hands of too many others, especially if we don't take 1st or 2nd at the Lew. Last Season, we sure did not want Indiana State as our only team at the Dance. The Shocks got hot around a game or 2 too late.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

          I'm anticipating a F4 appearance - in St. Louis.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
