I doubt if it is a blizzard. It looks like they might be getting a little snow but they are used to cold and lots of snow up there.

The Drake went into a zone and cut the lead by 10 (from 22 to 12). I think it is probably too little too late for them.

We have separation at the half-way point of conference play after UNI's 66-52 win over Drake tonight. Creighton and the Shocks are now 3 games clear of the field.

Drake, MSU and Evansville 3 games back at 5-4.

Illinois State and Northern Iowa are 4-5.

SIU (3-6), Indiana State (2-7) and Bradley (1-8) trailing the pack.

Dave Kaplan, ESPNU Color Analyst relayed the following story towards the end of the Drake-UNI game last night. “I always saw the numbers at Wichita State, had never been to a game there. Was there New Year’s Eve, and when I walked in, Gregg Marshall said to me “you haven’t seen anything yet. So, I said, it’s New Year’s Eve you’ll probably draw well. Gregg said “Big Boy, it’s like this every single night, weekend, weeknight, day, night, it doesn’t matter.” He goes on to say it was one of the best environments he had ever seen.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

For what it is worth, SIU drilled Bradley tonight 77-60. I am wondering if they are having any second thoughts about firing Jim Les last year?
