Those guys in Vegas know what they are doing. With a line like that, I am sure a lot of money on this game was going on SIU.

I must have missed your bold, betting prediction before the game. It's so much easier to say if you didn't make a prediction and are calling it after the fact.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

That's not how it works in Vegas. A handicappers job is too equal the betting out between the two teams. The casinos make money off the 10% they take off the top. They don't try and predict the score, they try and predict what line will make it the most even. It just happens to be that over time that is pretty close to the actual score.

In this case, the handicappers were wrong, and got lucky. The game started off at -19 and moved up to -17 by gametime (at least when I saw it last). The reason the line moves is because it's more attractive on one side or the other, in this case, more attractive on the SIU side. It goes down to try and even out the bets.

I guarantee any handicapper wouldn't consider that much of a move in the line a 'win'

Ok...well....I am glad I didn't bet on this one. LOL I sure didn't see that one coming. This didn't look like the same SIU team we played on the road. Granted that SIU team didn't look great and we were never really in trouble in that game, but at least they competed. This team just wasn't into it. Great job by the Shox!
