Henry we can count on, but the other candidates...dunno!

    • Perhpas the only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that JA's tomahawk dunk bounced off the rim. Had he made that he may have found himself on SportCenter's Top 10. The young man definitely has some serious athleticism. Hopefully, we can continue to get him some minutes along with EO and Jake.

      • It was good to see contribution by White, Orupke and Wessel tonight.

The 4-16 from 3 was disappointing, but on the other hand 17 assists on 33 makes was a step back in the right direction.

          • There was a little bit of sloppy play at the beginning of the second half, but otherwise a great game.

Yes, but think about this: Stutz out for the whole game, Hall with 2 quick fouls and out for 18 minutes of the 1st half, we shoot a very average 68% from the line, commit 20 PFs, shoot 4-16 from 3, yet score 85 points and win by 43 against anyone in the Valley. I'm still amazed at how well this team got it done with grit, hard work on D, and great depth on the bench.

Everything you said and I will add plus Murry only scoring 8 points.

This team has a lot more depth than I realized. I can't imagine before the game thinking we could beat SIU by 43 with Stutz out, Hall getting 2 quick fouls and only playing 11 total minutes, and Murry only scoring 8 points.

                I was very impressed.

                • Update from Koch Arena: Chris Lowery is still in his crouch in front of the SIU bench--still not coaching.

Don't underestimate the motivation/coaching from Marashall, reminding the team, in his own way, about last years DISASTER vs SIU here. That one cost WSU dearly.

One could say that EO and White may have saved our chances at an at-large bid.

What we saw last night is how a program is built. The "project" changes the game when he comes in. 43 points ? Does anyone think that EO didn't have something to do with that ?

The Shox will be reloading - not rebuilding for years to come.

                      • Trying to summarize the game of the guy with 121 pages in his thread.
                        5 Points - 2 for 2 shooting
                        9 Rebounds
                        4 Blocked shots
                        ??? Altered shots
                        1 Steal
2 Assists - Including a great outlet pass to Tekele and a backdoor pass to DK resulting in a 3 point play
                        0 Turnovers

All in 22 minutes. Am I missing anything?

Yes, the crow that some posters should be taking their first bite of. WstateU can you help us with a picture?

                            I will add a stat:

                            ONLY 2 FOULS!!!!

The one thing I thought would hold EO back was his potential to be foul prone. I was pretty impressed by how he played defense without fouling last night. The rest was icing on the cake!

                            • Last night at half time on the scoreboard, it listed SIU as being 7-14 on field goals and 1-5 from three? Doesn't that total 17 points? Didn't they only score 16 at half?

Did anyone else see this and was it just a scoreboard error?

no 6 out of their 7 FG were 2 point makes which equals 12 points, then add in their 3 point make which equals 15 points, then I assume they made 1 Free throw to get 16.
