Play defense!!! In the second half when Stutz was in till the 10 minute mark is when they went on they're run. Defense wins Championships.

Seriously, I wouldn't trade GS for anyone in the league. He's a great kid and I'm proud that he represents WSU. That said, he laid a big fat egg Saturday night and got abused and taken to the wood shed. Hopefully he’ll reverse rolls the remainder of the season.

Stutz was the only one scoring real early on with our lackluster start. The jays were making a point to go right at him with the hopes of getting him to foul. He did just that before we got their big man in foul trouble on the other side. What if--we were to to focus on offense with making the extra passes needed and get the rock more inside early and get Echenique in foul trouble first and foremost rather than jacking 3's? Then who would have prevailed? The Shox really played solid for a spell with GS on the pine. Carl Hall was the Man!!! Suddenly, we begin the 2nd half with the same lackluster start and then Carl Hall gets a 3rd invisible foul and sits down for a very, very very long spell in retrospect. We were still jacking 3's to no avail? Game over!!!!!!!

I wish Stutz would.. not let Echenique, or anybody else, catch the ball 2" from the basket.

Oh, the loss of big Durley, Blair and Ellis reared it's head. Wide body Durley pretty much laughed at Echenique last year.

I wish Stutz the very best. Understand your strengths and weaknesses. Take advantage of your strengths and try to minimize/offset your weaknesses as best you can. Then just go out an play your very hardest and have some fun. Just don't force the issue. Kicking the ball out if you move is not there is perfectly acceptable. In, out, in, out, in, out can be repeated as often as needed.

                Go Garrett! Go Shocks!

I wish GS could have improved since last year as much as Echenique did.

I wish Mr. Stutz the very best in life. He is a Class Act and I am very proud to have him as a Shocker both on and off the court.

GS had 3 or 4 pretty good games leading up to Saturday nite. So I say cut him some slack. He is a huge asset on this team.

                        Against Newman... Chicago State....

Yes, he deserves credit for doing well in certain games (Washington State last year, the entire MVC tournament in 2010 are some key examples). But he's also a senior that needs to always step it up for big games like this, and sadly he didn't do so.

Yes, but those games were against some powder puff opponents. Let's see him produce in a pressure filled game.

I wasn't trying to start a hate thread on GS. I just want him to foul someone hard. He's fouling just enough to get called for it.

                              Make them pay Garrett.

Stutz is a finesse center. As much as we all want a bruiser underneath, it's never gonna happen with GS. Fortunatley we have a bruiser in carl hall to compliment stutz. As someone said earlier, he matches up well with anyone with a weak post player. Echenique is about as tough as it gets in this league.
