From reading Suellentrop's preview in the Eagle sounds like we can expect E-ville to double team the post and perhaps even triple team at time. If that's the case then we need Garrett and Carl to be alert to find the open man and then we need to make them pay by knocking down the open shots.

Not a great starting lineup but it may send the message to the three leaders to pull their heads out and do what the have to do to take this team to where it belongs.

I would hope that 3G and staff is not sitting around waiting for the next game to tinker with the starting lineup so they can send a message to the team leaders. In fact, I am quite sure they are not doing that. The message sending no doubt started the minute they hit the locker room following the Creighton game and has no doubt continued at every opportunity since then. The goal is to send your message in meetings and practices prior to the next game so that the leaders will be ready to lead and produce from the get go when the next game does roll around. If they don't seem to get the message in practice and another team member shows they get it, then by all means make the lineup change.

This. Getting the ball back out quickly before the Aces cause a TO (especially for GS) and not force shots early in the first half may be the difference to getting the Shocks off to a good start.

I want to see the D. Williams that shocked everyone in the MVC championship game vs UNI. It's as simple as hitting shots like Ben Smith and playing D like DK or Toure'. Until he does that, D. Williams is coming off the bench.

Williams gets his chance to shine next year. He's got an awful lot of work to do between now and then and he will face many worthy competitors that will push him for PT.

I wouldn't trust starting Williams. Whenever he's in, especially at the point, the offense seems to go stagnant. I wouldn't say he's the main cause, but when he's in, the +/- for the team goes negative.

My thoughts? Evansville is a little scarier than I first thought now that they have 2 wins and we don't. However, we are pissed and are gonna want a win more than ever. I just hope the Shocks have their heads on straight. I would love to see them come out like they did at Bradley, but I can only hope. For now, this is what I think...

On the subject of D.Will, I think Cotton is already much better than him. Bring out Cotton before Williams. Williams hardly has any stats that favor his team in a game. And for the amound of minutes he has in these games, it's kinda pathetic. Not to bag on him, I just think Cotton has already shown his stuff and how he can be better than those ahead of him in a line-up.
