ThisX1000 That foul call was TURRIBLE (in my best Charles Barkley) and inexcusable for 2 guys that have worked Final Fours. The officiating wasn't great (Toure' getting clipped going in on a fast break for example HAS to be called, but they certainly didn't cost us the game.

25% (without Carl Hall's 7/9) shooting and being completely outcoached (amongst many other things) was to blame.

Just watch McWhinedouche for a couple of possessions to see EXACTLY what you need to do to get open. The kid works as hard as anyone I've ever seen in the post. If Garrett worked half as hard to get position, he'd average 30 a game.

I'm done with this game. It was 1 game. A piss poor 1 game, but still just one game. Get your heads straight and get back to WORK and pray like hell Carl Hall doesn't visit you in your nightmares for laying this big an egg on national TV.

Get it right while it still counts.

When they allow the game to be played that rough, Stutz cannot play.

            Until they break his nose.

I think his 2nd foul was lame too, especially given the way the game was called and played. Which was the offensive foul call?

The second foul on Hall was the offensive foul that came out of nowhere. The travel call on Murry with 12:08 left in the game was ridiculous also. I went back and watched the replay in slow motion and it definitely wasn't a travel.

Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

Did anyone notice CU refused to be on the court first and let the Shox surround them before the intro during pre-game? That's an old school coaching trick to demonstrate who is in charge. I guess it worked. I listened to Coach J talk about who gets playing time and who doesn't considering effort and performance during practice. Also, he commented that EO didn't play the second half because the staff thought they needed offense more than defense. This puzzled me all night. My thoughts are if you play terrible...have a seat on the bench. Why just let the same group of guys who won the coveted playing time lay rotten goose egg after rotten goose egg? And the statement about EO. We needed stops and defense. EO is still developing as a player but he has something that many on the team don't....and that is desire. That will go a long way. I would rather watch five guys on the court who want it more than anything give it their best than the starters (minus Hall) not committing 110%. I've been waiting for that killer instinct to emerge and watch boys become men. Fierce leaders to emerge who want nothing more to see the look of disappointment on the other team. Will we see that in our seniors? I can only hope so but really doubt it. There is a lot of games left but we have once again put our backs against the wall.
When your not practicing, someone somewhere is and when you meet him...he'll beat you.

I would have liked to see White in there when Hall was benched with 3 fouls? And why didn't Wessel play some? We needed some fresh blood in that game, especially after the first couple of minutes after the half.

Murry needs to be benched. Bring him off the bench for unchained lightning.
Start EO. Garrett needs a wake up.
I am beyond tired of Dwill, and I have a sneaking suspicion he will walk after this year.
                      Give Cotton a bigger role.
And I never claim to know more than HCGM, but let Hall foul out now and then.
The next game is at first place Evansville (tied with MoST) on Wednesday. BTW- UE just won AT UNI 76-65.

We need to be ready to play.

If Rags, Kyles, Murry, DWill, and Smith keep passing the ball around the perimeter and eventually shooting a 3 instead of taking it inside against a team with no front court presence, UE will open the conference season at 3-0.

Put Hall at the 5 and Stutz at 4 on offense, and actually feed the ball inside and Hall could go for 30 against UE's front court. Or play Orukpe 30 minutes. Let Hall grab his misses.

Start Orukpe and let him play until he fouls out. He'll have a double-double - and WSU will win a tip. I'm still a Stutz supporter, but I'm no longer expecting a Miller-esque Sr season. With that in mind, I'm open to giving the guy who will be here next year a few more minutes.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Getting everyone on the same page will be the key to success. This team can win, and should win, with defense. They are (most times) an excellent defensive team.

Defense creates offense, and is much more consistent.

Tekele Cotton needs more minutes. If Toure' really has to be subbed out for D, then Cotton is earning the minutes.

Full court press for 40 minutes. We have the depth. Get after it. We should make life a living hell for teams less athletic, and Evansville fits that description perfectly.

The anti-Stutz band wagon is amazing. I wish I could go back and pull some of the comments made during Paul's senior year. One can go back to the game log and find games where shocker net would have exploded. Bad games happens, especially when the opposing team might have a favorable match-up. In this case CU had a tall player, with a much lower CG keeping him off balance.

Coach was shown favorable match-ups in the first half and waited way too long to go to them in the second half....
