Well, I'm going to take a bit of a different approach to this topic....while not a close friend with Bob, I have had interactions with him of a number of occasions.He is NOT first a fan, even though I would guess more of some teams than others. But he lost his way at some point. I could put up with the unending Eagles references, and even his odd buddy that came on and they would try to convince you that every **** movie that came out was the next Gone with the Wind. But when he crossed the line from arrogant and snarky (which was entertaining imho) to condescending and belittling (which was not entertaining) he began to lose me.
He then got to a point where I think he would have only been satisfied to have a rotating guest lineup of Bernie Sanders, Keith Olberman and AOC to inform the rest of us why we're moronic dolts. I'm sure that tact appeals in some markets, but not this one.
I've said it a thousand times...his work with League 42 is outstanding and he should be celebrated and lauded for that work. Full stop.
That he's going to focus on that instead of the radio show is likely best for everyone, especially himself. Hopefully he'll be able to quiet the demons inside that have fueled his hatred for the last decade or so. Full blown TDS is treatable, but you have to commit.
