Unfortunately, my memory seems to be fading fast... I don't recall Dave Armstrong being the PA. If so, maybe he succeeded Ernie Townsley?

No darned wonder we can’t sell out games. The average Joe thinks tickets are sold out or nearly impossible to get. Now they tell us on a message machine we’re sold out when tickets are still available? "You gotta be $hittin' me?” We can’t get decent radio reception and now the ticket office has their heads up their buttocks.
        Sorry, this isn’t acceptable.

Looks like it's going to be available here too.

God, not Dave Kaplan...ugh. I'm sure he will be fine, but as a Cubs fan I've really come to dislike him as a media figure/sports journalist. Glad I will be at the game.

The Beast will wipe the glass clean & will have a double-double. It is going to be a physical game with Echenique's goggles flying to the floor at some point, because the Beast will be hungry for rebounds.

Right now the Shockers have some positive karma going on. The Lady Shocks won in Cedar Falls for the 1st time in 13 years with a 67-40 pounding of defending champion UNI. Not sure when the last time the Men and Women both won MVC openers on the road. That my have happened but I'm pretty sure it has never been by a combined score of 157 - 91. Let's hope the karma has decided to park itself at 21st & Hilldside for the rest of the season.

I predict that by the time they do the ping pong ball promotion that we'll all be in a mood to sing the refrain to Toby Keith's "Red Solo Cup".

We have no business losing at home and not winning by 17. Mickey D will not be used to Valley D, especially ours. Shut him down, you shut down CU.

Well, I hope your right, assuming we can shut him down. CU has 5 other players who can air out the ball from 3. 77-170 for a .453 percentage. CU is 1st in the nation with 20.6 assists per game. After Mickey D, they have 5 players who average between 7-10.8 ppg.

If Hall can't contain Little Mac and Wragge (both 6'7" and both shoot the 3 well) Murry and Smith will have to.
