stayed at the crowne last year and i absolutely hated it.

I can't remember which hotel we stayed at last year, but we got a deal through Shocker Radio. Awesome room with a ton of space.

Newshock, what was it(s) you didn't like about the Crowne? I changd my reservation to save $50, but if its that bad then i will switch back.

Well after staying at the drury I might have got spoiled lol. I didnt like that you have to pay for parking and breakfast. I hear alot comments of large rooms, that wasnt the case with mine, it was pretty tiny compared to what they have at drury inn.

I did get a corner room also, dont know if its different than the other rooms or not, but it was very small

Stayed at the Crowne last year, huge room, no problems whatsoever..Hotel overall may be a bit outdated but other than that it was fine and the internet was free....unlike across the street the the Hyatt or Hilton, one of the H's,,,the one with Ruths Chris in the lobby. I think they charged like $10 a nite for internet.
The only thing i didnt like was the walk but it was freezing last year and or raining so......hoping for some global warming this year.

Due to a family matter, I have to cancel my reservations at the Pear Tree Inn. The Pear Tree is similar to a Holiday Inn Express. It is owned by the Drury family.

My rate is $107.99 plus taxes.

The Pear Tree is located about 3-4 blocks to the west of the arena. At one time, it offered a shuttle service to the arena. I do not know, if the service is still available. I have stayed at the hotel before and the walk is not a drudgery.

I imagine most of the mid-range priced hotels are booked by now.

If a Shocker fan of this fine forum is interested in my reservation, I will work with the fan to attempt to have the reservation transferred from my name to his/her name. I do not know, if it is possible, but I am willing to try.

If I have not heard from anyone by Friday, December 21, then I will proceed with the cancellation.
