Was it Charles Chips that had the blue plastic chip in the bag that you could redeem for tickets at Joyland?

I remember a diner near the airport where you could get your food delivered on a train that circled the counter...thought it was a Lazy R but no.......

The Fife and Drum on Central. Shakey's Pizza...wasn't there a Shakey's just south of Central, east side of Rock? Was a bunch of different Pizza joints...and a Circle Cinema for a very brief time in the late 70s or early 80s. Kind of like a modern day Sugah Shak that actually got off the ground.

Turg's 2005 first half melt down against SIU where the Shocks recovered from being down 142-5 to take a brief 2nd half lead before eventually dropping a heartbreaker.

Any game where X, Fred, Ron or Jason played.

Walking into the Georgia Dome and crying when I saw WSU on the ribbon board.

I don't either. But I do remember trips to a dairy farm out in the country to buy non-homogenized milk (cream on the top) in glass gallon jugs. Had to shake it up to mix the cream in before pouring. We would go to the dairy farm, go to the back porch of the house, drop off our empties and open the fridge and to get what we needed and since most of the time no one was around we would pay but putting our money in a cigar box and making our own change. I don't remember what a gallon cost with empty jugs returned but I do know the reason we did that was because my Mom could squeeze a quarter until the eagle squawked (had to with 10 kids). Yes times have changed.

BTW by out in the country we were out in what is now more less the Andover area.

Evans dairy outside of Udall followed the same procedures. Price was 50 cents per gallon.

I think the diner with the train was Casey Jones Junction. Could be wrong but remember eating there as a kid.

Shakey's Pizza was also just West of Seneca on Pawnee. I remember my mom taking a high school neighbor kid, friend of my older sister, to work there in the dead of winter. He had a terrible home life and my mom felt so bad for him. His name was Greg Johnson and was the little brother of Don Johnson.

I’ve probably mentioned this in the past.
Shakey’s Pizza Parlor was one of my favorite restaurants as a kid. They had a sign hanging above the urinal in the men’s restroom that read, “If you can pee above this line, the fire department wants you.” The first time there, I came out and said, “dad I’m going to be a fireman.”

Used to go to Herman Hill concerts all the time and up until the infamous “Herman Hill Riot.” My buddy and I had just rode up on our motorcycles and got a face full of tear gas as people were running past us with the fuzz in hot pursuit. I’m surprised neither one of us ran over anybody on our way out of the park as we both had tears streaming down our faces from the tear gas.

Remember the riot at a Herman Hill concert? Wasn't it over parking tickets being issued in the midst of the concert? Soon it was wall to wall law enforcement, seizing back the control that was lost over the parking ticket decision.
