My wife worked with Paul Wight's mom at the Wal-Mart on rock rd when he was at WSU. She said he would bring her to work driving a Ford Escort! I would have loved to see that!

Now that is funny. When I saw him at the west side WalMart, I remember getting in my car and driving around the parking lot trying to figure out which vehicle he could fit into.

R & S bar b que? I seem to remember he did mostly catering, but had a little place that was open like Thursday and Friday from 11-1? Might be wrong though

In my time, it was popen at leasdt Tues-Friday, don't know about Saturday. As each child grduated, he closed down another day. That place probably seated, what, 60-75 and was packed, a liong line, but a seat always became available when I got to the cashier.

Remember when Billy Packer cried the world a river when 4 Valley teams getting to Dance? SW Mo. State thought they would be the 5th team to enter but that didn't happen.

Remember when the roller coaster at Joyland seemed like a big deal?

Remember when the USA team could had FVV and Baker but kept only Baker? That may have just cost us the gold. because they had no real point guard.

You gotta post that sometime... those were the good old days. I'll never forget the sound of the 'cars' heading up the steep ramp... and prayed that termites hadn't eaten the supports.

Joyland roller coaster was a great coaster. Big adventure - you might have a random bolt hit you in the head or some random piece of wood.

I've got the file. Its a QUICKTIME movie file with audio of the Joyland organ in the background. I made it for my kids after a school trip to Joyland a loooooong time ago. I'll see if there's a way to convert somewhere unless someone has better idea.

I won't apologize for the quality or audio because that was the camera I had at the time for taking pictures/movies. The audio is of the Joyland Clown/organ.
