I know it's only highlight clips that I've seen, but I've seen a lot of highlight clips. I'm more excited about this group of Fr than any since VanVleet. With VanVleet, I was able to watch complete AAU games and he absolutely outplayed the #1, #3, and #5 rated PG's. Some of them were a year behind him. I knew we had one of the top 1 or 2 PG's in the nation coming in when I saw him against the highly rated guys.
Chaunce's highlights look like he's got potential as a combo. If what's in his clips translates to D1, he's a perimeter player who can get to the rim and dunk when he gets there. Not many players who can play PG who can also posterize rim protectors. Potential seems to be there, but recruits always seem to have potential. Some of them reach their potential. Some actually surpass it.
