Decent article, but the years are off. It was 2005-06 when there were 4 teams from the Valley.

Lots of work ahead for the top teams. It will be interesting to see how we perform against CU, ISUb, and UNI.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

I'm looking forward to conference play like I haven't had in a few years.

If this was hand grenades instead of basketball, the Valley would be in great shape. Bradley was close against #19 Michigan. MSU was way past close against WVU.

That's 2 mid-tier Valley teams that gave some respected BCS programs some tough games.

I hope the message got out to the upper-level Valley teams that they can't relax for a moment against the mid-level teams in the league. The mid-level teams are starting to look strong enough to win some games against the top end and minimize separation of a couple of teams at the top of the standings.

It's looking like another brutal season of very competitive ball in the Valley.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

If we were a BCS conference that kind of strength from the mid-level teams would mean more ncaa bids.

Unfortunately for us, when it happens in the Valley it means we go from possibly being a 3 or 4 bid league down to a 1 or 2 bid league.

Hopefully the NCAA will limited the Big East to a reasonable amount of teams. That opens up multiple bids for conferences like The Valley

No kidding. Less than 10 would be a real coup.

Whatever number of teams the Big Least doesn't get in will probably be soaked up by the Big 10.

On a positive note, the PAC-12 will be lucky to get 2 in.
