It was interesting how the FBI had to get Dawkins to work the payments in order to create federal crimes, whereas Dawkins original scheme was simply an NCAA infraction. I thought it was crazy how the FBI had an informant facing 67 years in prison and traded that to put 3 guys behind bars for less than a year each.

also, seems like the NCAA may have stepped in and squashed this case as much of the testimony and evidence was never even heard.

^Yeah, if I remember right he actually kept saying no to the “crime” because it didn’t make sense but the agent kept pushing until he said yes.

Also, side note, Will Wade is the fakest coach in the world. Him and Sean Miller essentially did the same thing and told the same lies but for some reason Wade just seems so much worse.

Just finished watching. Dawkins hands weren't clean. He knew he was breaking rules, but he didn't know the nuances of law and that by paying coaches instead, he was committing a felony. Absolute total setup and entrapment.

Then, if he would turn over Pitino, he'd be able to walk. Somebody in the FBI hated Pitino and Louisville. When they couldn't get the witness they wanted, they threw the book at the guy who wouldn't testify, who they had given the money for the payoffs, and insisted on how to make the payoffs in order to set up the Sting to bring Pitino down.

I'm reminded of a cocert at Henry Levitt when I was a student. The Admin of Justice students had been deputized and had set up to crack down on people smoking pot at the concert. There was one girl in AJ who was absolutely stinking hot and about 5'10". The kind that when you see her, you kind of stop in your tracks for a moment. I watched her pull a bag of pot out of her boot and give it to some younger kids, who, a few minutes later, were escorted out of the concert in the company of 2 other AJ students.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
