  • Bizoukas (42% FT shooter) misses 2. MU gets the ball back down 2 and - guess who - the 42% FT shooter decides is his job to launch a 3. 5 seconds left MSU's ball.

Missed an uncontested layup at the buzzer.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

      • Like a repeat of the regulation, Natan Sheer pulls a Kyle Weems and misses a layup with a second left, and the Bears lose.

The Bears were extremely unlucky in this game. All of the luck went WVAs way at the end of regulation and during the OT.

        • Bears gave that game to WVU. Weems with poor shots and Scheer misses an open, point-blank lay-up to tie it with 2 seconds left.

That's why you use the backboard folks. Wrong foot, no backboard, no fundamentals. MSU should kick themselves for losing this game.

That PG, Bizookas?, is going to be a HUGE liability if he keeps choking like that. I've seen him nearly airball at least 7 FTs this year. It's not like he's getting tough rolls. And they always seem to happen late in games.

I have only seen Kstate play once but it was against WVU, the same team the Bears faced tonight. IMO, the Bears looked better. That Kstate team was just so painful to watch. I think that even I can shoot the ball better than anyone on that team.

I hate the Bears, I dislike Kstate but don't hate them the way I hate Ku. Having said that, the Bears look like the better team to me.

And Weems missed a wide open uncontested layup with 11 seconds left that would have sealed the win for the Bears in regulation.

The Bears performance late in regulation and in OT is the absolute definition of "choke". Missing those shots is more of a head thing than a physical thing. That team may not believe in themselves.

Maybe I shouldn't talk. I remember an ill-advised 3 against Temple late in that game.

Sometimes those ill-advised 3s work. WVU would have lost tonight if their guy hadn't taken a very off balance very long deparation 3 to send the game to OT (it just looked awful when he shot it). But he got lucky and his went in. His 3 IMO was much worse than the one taken by TM against Temple.

Maybe wikipedia under the definition of choke should just post a link to the last couple of minutes of regulation and the OT of this game. They could include a picture of Kyle Weems next to the link.

                            • I didn't see it posted, UAB also won today, beating Jacksonville 70-65.

Another game of note, Boise St is killing Arizona St 56-17 in the Maaco whatever bowl. Arizona State's worst loss this year was by 14 to Oregon, all of their other losses were in the single digits.

Boise St was so screwed. The #7 BCS team should be in a BCS bowl or at least a bowl that is played on or somewhat near January 2.

I know this isn't technically related to WSU basketball, but it reminds me of the way I feel every year on selection Sunday, after seeing the Valley get screwed year after year.

                              • Just checked the warren nolan rpi, he has WSU at 30 right now. We have already erased the damaged done by playing Chicago State.
