I'm sure part of that is caught up in the Ill St.-Bradley road swing that is so difficult (or used to be) for many MVC teams.

I don't foresee that being a problem this season.

This is a must win by 25+.

      Win by:
      <10 = F
      10-15 = D
      15 - 20 = C
      20 - 30 = B
      30+ = A

        Tonight's starting lineup:

        Orukpe
        Whita
        Wessel
        Cotton
        Williams

This is the prediction thread - right?

Somehow I don't think that prediction will come true, but it would make for a much more interesting game.

WSU's RPI numbers before this game:
        .6219
        28

The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

After Sat's game, I wouldn't be suprised to see that lineup minus Williams with Ragland in his place.

It gets worse. CHiSt's RPI is 311. SIU's dropped to 342 after the only team they beat all year (ChiSt) took another loss.

How does the MVC stack up against the Big-12-2+1 RPI-wise currently?

So their grade must have been A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++. Did I get enough pluses?

                              This is interesting

                              Top 6:
                              UNI - 3.....................KU - 22
                              CU - 23....................OU (?!) - 39
                              InSU - 31.................MU - 44
                              WSU - 50.................ISU (?!) - 57
                              MSU - 75.................KSU - 58
                              DU - 78...................BU - 66

The top of the Valley compares favorably to the top of the B12(-3+1)

                              Then there's the bottom 4:

                              BU - 159...................OSU - 91
                              UE - 242...................UT - 132
                              IlSU - 256.................TT - 162
                              SIU - 342.................aTm* - 194

The difference at the bottom end of the conferences puts the B12(-3+1) at 4th (.5662) and the Valley at 8th (.5372). The difference of about .03 is huge. It's about the same as the difference between the Valley and the Summit League, which is sitting in 12th right now.

                              * Am I noticing a pattern with their previous coach?

That is very interesting. It's really the bottom three that are so concerning. Having a 159 in a down year isn't the worst thing in the world. I kinda draw the line at 200. There will be considerable separation when conference play begins due to the incestuous nature of RPI and failure for our bottom 3 to produce.
