Wow, alot of blowout wins being predicted. I do feel good being at home and Utah St is obviously struggling. I am sure they will still play pretty good defense though and will come at us hard. They are well coached, and I am sure will be hungry and loose. I just don't see it being a blow out unless we have a UNLV game (which I am not sure we will see that kind of performance again). I am betting they try and control the tempo also (much like UNI....etc). I am not sure how much zone USU plays, but I am betting we may even see a fair amount of that trying to make us use more clock to find a good shot. With that said:

I love Koch Arena. Not many places can match the decible level it can get inside the roundhouse. I wouldn't trade it for the world, it's OUR house.

HOWEVER, no one can beat the USU students with their organization, creativity and energy. I am quite jealous of that aspect.

Hey what do you expect. It is a lot easier to organize 4000 students than 200 students at a game, oh wait a minute, no it's not. We have no excuse.

I wish our students would do a little better job. Even one organized new cheer would be great.

I have the utmost respect for USU's program, the coach, and its fans. However, they were hit hard last year by graduation. Add to that Jardine's injury and now freshman Thornton leaving (he did play 18 mpg in their first 4 games), USU is definitely not what it was last year and not what it started out to be this year. Depth and number of weapons should be a problem. Unless they play the type of game they did at home against BYU (with Jardine and Thornton), this should be a double digit win, minimum. More likely, 15-18. They lost to Denver at home by 13, at Weber by 10 (w Jardine), and at Pacific by 8.

USU is definitely not what it was last year and not what it started out to be this year. Depth and number of weapons should be a problem.

We're not what we have been since maybe Stew's first season at the helm when we just didn't have enough horsepower to really compete. That was the 98-99 season. If we were at home, played a perfect game, and your boys struggled, we might have a chance. At your place I believe our only chance is a case of temporary blindness (about an hour's worth) hitting your entire team. I'll be surprised if you don't win by 20 today. I can stomach that with how your fans have been in the interactions I've seen with us over the past few years. How you guys can share a state with the EMAW folks, I'll never understand. The Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum is also a noise container. I've not been there in years, and the organization of which you speak wasn't the norm when I was a student, but I've not "felt" noise like that in many places - for games against UNLV and NewMexSt, even the Judas Priest concert I went to wasn't as loud...
