We've got to win this game. I would hate for the Shox to be that team who is just good enough to beat average to poor teams but not good enough to beat above average teams. Our best win is a 16-6 VCU program and a Memphis team that is not the same without Wiseman and underwhelmed of late. If we lose, I will just have to take solace knowing that we're still very young, exceeded expectations this year because we're in rebuilding mode and the future looks bright.

Really, unless we steal a couple on the road, all of our remaining home games are must wins for an at large bid. I think 23 is the magic number but it may take 24 to get there.

If we shoot 40% or above in any of our remaining games, I think our odds our pretty good.

if this statistic is true, we have more problems than I thought. As much as I like our guys, we need players that can score the ball.

1) we lack overall size and JE is our only decent back to the basket scorer
2) we have strong guards but not quick ones that frequently attack the driving lanes for lay ups
3) we don't make many off ball back door cuts against man defenses or move without the ball vs zones
4) our set plays have been well scouted by now
5) our leading % shooter from last season does not play
6) too much dribbling and not enough quick passes makes us easier to guard
7) I think we will see some progress against a tough Cincy defense tonight. Shocks 58-55
