89-70 is the final. I am gettin sick and very tired of underestimating our beloved Shocks. And folk wonder why we can't draw many big-name teams in here? This win may raise even Roy's eyebrows? "FROM THE HALL OF CHUCK ARENA, TO THE SHORES OF RAGS TO RICHES!!! This is a win that Mike Kennedy will cherish along with the rest of us.

If it wasn't for a juco transfer with only 5 D1 games under his belt coming to the rescue, this team would have lost to a poor Fullerton one. 6 games into the season and there is no sign of chemistry, organization, teamwork, and passion. Nothing but sloppy play and head scratching mistakes.

Is this team all of sudden going to get their act together and play 40 minutes of great basketball in which we all think they are capable of doing in 2 1/2 days? I doubt it. Prediction - they come out sluggish once again and UNLV will develop an insurmountable lead. The Shox will make a small run in the second half but the energy spent on trying to come back will have taxed the Shox and UNLV pulls away by 13 at game's end.

The Shox will get things together this season and start playing to their potential, but I have trouble believing that's going to suddenly happen in the next few days.

UNLV is playing tremendous basketball and we are nowhere near their level right now, even at home. I'd love for the Shox to pull this one out, but realistically I'm thinking the Rebels run away with this one:

It looks like a lot of the predictions have us losing by double digits. I guess that means that if we were to play UCSB on a neutral court, we'd get beat by them too.
