It is very interesting how pessimistic and/or cautious Shocker fans are. We can't be accused of sunshine pumpers.

National punidts and Vegas favor the Shocks (but of course not KC Shoxenfreud).

The ESPN simulator looks good for WSU too. They predict WSW wins 72-67.

    Point Spread AccuScore Probability
    UNLV +2 35.8%
    Wichita State -2 60.6%

TEAM WIN% PTS BIG WIN CLOSE WIN
    UNLV 31.8% 66.6 12.3% 10.4%
    WSU 68.2% 71.9 41.7% 12.1%

Big Win is by 10 or more pts; Close Win is by 4 or less pts.

      "Um, no"

      I love the love

If you were unaware that No. 18 UNLV’s game at Wichita State on Sunday is part of the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Conference Challenge, don’t feel bad.

I'm really looking forward to the game today. In March, I think if we can look back and say that our two best teams defeated the two best teams from the Mountain West, that will bode very well for us. Let's get a win!

He's criticizing the MWC's horrible marketing, not disrespecting the MVC. UNI knocked us out of the Dance a few years back, then sent Kansas packing....we have no delusions abut MVC lacking quality programs.

Shout out to all the Rebel fans that have graced our board. In this day and age, the respect and enjoyment for good basketball is refreshing and frankly unexpected.

I may be repeating myself but this is a matchup that should have hap pened many more times than twice. These are 2 kindred programs, with UNLV the one with national respect and WSU trying to obtain it. I suspect the MWC-MVC Challenge is done after this year. I would love to add an every other year trip to Vegas to my schedule for something other than gambling and relaxation.

            It's good for the game.

            Hopefully today will be too.

We only get ugly when Puke, BYU, UCLA, or New Mexico are involved. In that order.

So did we actually sell the place out yet? (Sad that I have to ask..)

It's time for our guys to live up to the praise. As much as they have left us wanting more lately, I suppose the positive thing is we all know they can do better and likely will. I just hope it's today! They shouldn't need any additional motivation.

I'm so nervous about this game..I know they'll be 10k Shocker people around my seat going wild. I'm hoping for at least 100 REBEL fans at the game.

                    Good luck WSU !!

I understand. If I truly thought he was being condescending I would have mentioned something. I am more of the belief that while your program is enjoying the limelight, once again we are trying so hard to keep our head above the water. I'd for the Shox to maintain and sustain success but our program is a roller coaster. Hopefully we can make a splash tonight.

                        • I'm so pumped for today's game, best of luck to you today Shockers. Thanks for the kind words, we're typically a respectful fanbase (as long as you're not a heated rival as said above). I think there is one more year on the current Challenge agreement. But I agree, it's probably gone after that.

                              • Listening to the rebel warmup show for a different perspective; Sounds like Lew Hill and Steve Henson are in the house, which is cool I guess. They seem worried about our rebounding ability and home court advantage, which is to be expected. Hoping for a heck of a game and a Shocker victory!!
