Seems like a lot of people are just assuming UC Santa Barbara is bad. Their only loss before UNLV was a 1 point OT loss to San Diego St. I think it's safe to say they are above average.

No doubt, the Gauchos are decent. This doesn't mean UNLV didn't play incredibly dumb. Cuz they did. Fouling on three point attempts with less than a minute left, blowing an eight point lead with ninety seconds to go, and having your star point guard self-destruct to the level where he's lucky he didn't accidentally light himself on fire all support this.

Sure is. If you told me that SDSU was going to put up 83 at home on Creighton I would not have given Creighton much of chance to come out of there with a win. The Bluejays seem to be firing on all cylinders right now.

Tough day ahead on Saturday. Anything better than 4-3 would be equally impressive and miraculous.

I'm betting that if Drake loses, the Mark Phelps death spiral will commence in Des Moines and they won't recover. They sure are a crappy team for as much talent as they have.

The MVC is currently 3-7 verse the top50 RPI and I am not sure as to the record for top100 RPI, haven't bothered to add
it all up.

I believe today we play 3 games against top100 opponents with TCU being ranked 38th I believe,

If Indiana State, Northern Iowa, Missouri state, and Illinois state can come out with wins today, and I think Evansville actually has a shot against TCU (look at TCU's play this year), If they can win, the MVC will be looking really good with RPI continuing towards league play, Im not optomistic on the Drake game, but anything can happen.

BTW the MVC is currently ranked 6th, good play today would put us towards passing the Big 12
