Wichita State vs Oklahoma Game Thread

JB didn’t have the best game but I was watching him guard Reaves the first half and he shut him down. This may have had some effect on his offensive production. It’s was like a man against a boy.

Are there two games left in the series ? I was a little surprised their weren’t more OU fans at the game.

Took a quick look at the at the OU board... One comment stood out. After he makes a comment about Maggie sleeping with all the players then turns around and tries to say that WSU fans are not classy and horrible (ironic I know).... He makes the comment that he will be back in Wichita in 2 years cheering loudly after OU for sure wins....

Made me think... In 2 years, barring transfers, 10 of the 13 scholarship players will still be on this team. Including the ENTIRE back court that just carved them up in the second half... That's fun to think about...

12. All those folks pleading for fans to fill up the upper bowl, have never ever been up there.

I was at the game with decent but not great seats. You all would be disappointed if I didn't put in a good word for AM who
most of you know I like as a player. I was a little disappointed at the game he didn't play more but the win greatly over
shadowed that. Watched the replay this morning where I could focus on the three minutes AM got in early and to my
surprise he contributed quite a lot in those three minutes of PT despite the one fumble he had out of bounds. In his
three minutes he was guarding Doolittle who went 0-3 against him. He also forced another miss by Bienemy who had
driven past his man to the basket but AM dropped off his man and forced another miss. He also grabbed a rebound so
he had a pretty good three minutes defensively. The team was plus six points in his 3 minutes. I commented earlier that
MO played really well so the principle back up centers backed JE up well.

I would really like to hear GGG's substitution reasoning for AM. I don't understand why you bring him in so early, only to never use him again. Like you said, he played well enough while in there.

As I see it it’s a good thing we didn’t put Trey Wade on 4th team like some around here wanted too. He had some grown man rebounds.

I have been in the upper bowl. It's not that bad. Would have been there again if I could have. Just a lot of lazy ass, spoiled, whiney people out there.

we have the luxury of having 4 legit post players. JE is clearly the main guy. After him, all 3 generally get chances at different times. 3G usually rides the next guy that is most effective with his time. The fumble by AM wasn’t good and it gave Mo a chance to get in. Mo was doing a good job so he got the minutes that game. It may be different next time.
