updated. If you take out our game against UAB and SIU's game against Chicago St, the other 4 Valley teams in action tomorrow are playing teams with a combined 18-0 record. It's too early to read too much into those records, but it sure would be nice to send them home with their first losses."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Ind St down by 7 at one point, now lead 40-33 at half.
Minnesota not playing good D, however, Ind St is showing what they can do if you don't bring your A game defense to the court. If you help, you'd also better rotate fast and well.
That was an impressive last 10 minutes of the 1st half by the Trees.

Indiana State reminds me a lot of the UNI teams from 06-09: they get great mileage out of very limited talent, don't beat themselves, and are extremely well coached. They have no business winning more than 15 games or so with this roster. At season's end, however, they will undoubtedly wind up with 20-25.
They achieve about 90% of what they're capable of. I wish we would do that.

Late choke by the Trees to blow the game. They're so painful to watch it's not funny, but no doubt they get a lot out of there ability. It's frustrating, however, to see them take the UNI way, that is to flop all the time. The Trees are better at flopping on offense though. These teams have no idea how to compete against bigger stronger athletes that want to compete at the top of D1. They are a fly in the ointment.

If anyone is bored, this Harvard-Florida State game is pretty entertaining to follow- currently 16-16 with 15 minutes left in the SECOND HALF. #22 FSU is kind of an Alabama Lite- their defense is absolutely absurd, but they don't have the three-way punching ability that the Tide have. Harvard is pretty excellent under Tommy Amaker this season and I expect that they will be a top 25 caliber team.
Pulling for Harvard, of course.
ETA: Harvard really scorching the nets now, leading 29-24 at the under 8 TO.
ETA again: A late flurry of matador defense pushes the final score disappointingly skyward. Harvard pulls off the upset 46-41.Last edited by Guest; November 25, 2011, 06:34 PM.
