I'm bummed that I won't be in attendance this year. I have been coming home every year in December to visit family and once the Shocks started playing in IBA, I began timing my visit to coincide with the IBA game. Unfortunately, this year I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery and can't fly so I've put off my visit. Rest assured, otherwise my A$$ and those of my brother and sister would be in those expensive, uncomfortable IBA seats for this game.
I no longer assume a win in IBA for the Shocks but if the team plays like they did in Stillwater, OU will wish they could leave Sooner than later.

I wonder how many people went to purchase tickets, saw the insane service fees at checkout time and just closed their web browser.Buying a single on the Net results in something like $60-some for an upper bowl seat. That's not going to happen. Buying 4 would be $72 + $48, or around $120. That makes it $30 for the cheapest seat in the building. Not that many people know they can buy tickets at the box office without the service charge.
I also wonder how many people got an upper bowl seat in IBA, experienced the tight quarters and steep angle and aren't planning on going back.
There's a lot more than the product on the court and the opponent that affects selling tickets in IBA.
I know this idea is totally impoissible, but the best thing when Reaves is introduced as a starter would be the P.A. playing the sound of chirping crickets and NOT A SINGLE OTHER SOUND in the building. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

To be fair the same can be said for certain areas of CKA.Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Also I need more to do at work.
91 seats were filled since I checked yesterday morning.
If the capacity is indeed 15,000 - that would be 10,702 tickets sold about 33 hours until tip.

The Athletic Department and the Sports Commission were planning to bid on the AAC tourney the next time it comes around because of our tremendous reputation as a sports community and supporter of Shocker athletics. This probably isn't a good idea.
A lot of negativity around a 7-1 top 35 Shocker team. We used to dream about having teams like this.
However many Shocker supporters and OU fans come to see a 7-1 Top 35 team who is about to be ranked (provided we defeat OU, I will be there having a good time and yelling my brains out.

I'd doubt we have much of a case to have the AAC tourney there if we are no longer able to fill up the arena for these types of teams.

Maybe they'll learn someday that 4,000 fans paying $10 is better than 1,000 fans paying $18.Deuces Valley.
