Hey, I can play that game too. I challenge you to find a post where I said you celebrate a Shocker loss. You are not a genius, but you are not that stupid. You are simply absent from this board after the Shocks win a game in which you predicted defeat.

My AL prediction was epic fail, so here's hoping I get back on track as the Shox do. Should be a good game.

This is the type of opponent the shox need to beat to show that are legit contenders. A loss is a big wasted opportunity justlike the losses to vcu or utah state.

Big game for the Shox - I just hope they can play their best game of the year so there is no regrets wins or lose.

HCGM's teams have always had an outstanding assist vs. FGM ratio. Last year an assist was credited for a basket 61% of the time. In three games thus far...47%. The offense is out of sync.

It has been said by prior posters the Shockers must get to the FT line more and make better than 57%. Last year the Shockers got to the line 19 times per game compared to 14 so far this year. Our guards must do a better job recognizing when to push the ball to the rim, opening up many opportunities.

                Let's go Shocks...get it done against hooter-team!!!

Don't wanna offend any of you guys, but Kennedy's pregame callers are always idiots.

Kyles wakes up, Hall dominates the boards, and Cotton makes a contribution in a physical defensive struggle.

Random note on Temple if you're a college basketball junkie looking to kill some time before the game - I ran across this article during preseason regarding their conditioning and sent it to a friend of mine that is a friend and former teammate of Coach Dunphy:

                      His response:

I have a bit of history behind Dunphy's training method. Fran's high school basketball coach at Malvern Prep, Dan Dougherty, used that same technique in the mid to late 1960's, as did the football and wrestling coaches. We would meet at a boathouse on the river at 6AM, then take a bus to school about 25 miles away after an hour or so on the river. Dougherty went on to coach the basketball team at West Point, immediately preceding Mike Krzyzewski, and Dunphy was Doc's assistant for 3 or 4 years. I later learned that Dougherty borrowed the rowing training idea from Dr. Jack Ramsey, who coached Dougherty at St. Joe's in Philadelphia. Ramsey's son, John, was a classmate of mine in high school and coincidentally a great rower. As a kid in Philadelphia, many of us spent a fair amount of time on the Schuylkill.

                      Gametime. Let's get it done.

After some introspection last night, I had a change of heart. Although the fans that were chanting, "NIT" and "LSU" at the end of the game were having a lapse of judgement, I have much respect for them. They spent hard earned money and took time away from their schedule to go to PR and support the Shox. For that, I commend them.
