  • I'm following the Shox from nyc and had to watch the game in a loud crowded bar. Can someone clear up a couple things for me...first, why hasn't Murry been starting, second, what was the deal with our 3-pointer at the end of the first half not counting??

Although the loss was quite disappointing, I'm not too down about it, considering what I saw to be some big positives. Namely, the play of Hall. He was very impressive, and combined with EO's improvement puts to rest my worries about our frontcourt. I know Stutz and Rags both had bad games, each for different reasons, but they're both seniors and smart players and they'll both get on track. Some other positives were the play Murry and our rebounding. Murry is showing that we DO in fact have a go-to guy on offense and he proved he can find the basket even against the most athletic and active of defenses.

One last thing... I understand that one of the team's goals for the season must be to make the NCAA tournament, but I only realized last night that we were attempting to do so with the worst free throw shooting in the history of college basketball. Gotta get better from the line!!!

    • Murry was injured (ribs) a couple of weeks ago and not at full strength.
The shot didn't count, because the shot clock expired.
The free throw shooting should be (and better be) much better.

      • When was the last time the Shox had a slasher? And I'm talking about an effective one to. Our offense seems to be just a lot of motion, setting screens for open perimeter shots and dumping the ball down low - if the shot isn't there - the ball is backed out for an open shot. It has been like this for a long time now. I doubt we surprise anyone or keep anyone on our toes when it comes to offense. It has been effective when we had the players, but having a player capable of consistently dribble driving without being out of control is something I can't recall someone doing in a long time.

        • Mo Evans. Murry and Kyles have the size and athleticism to do so.

I just jumped on and don't want to sift through 20 pages. I was very disappointed with dk. I wish he would hunt his shot and showcase his talents. Friday night was a total waste of 30 minutes on his line. He is soooo much better than that and I don't care who we are playing.

            • Has anyone ever blocked 14 WSU shots in one game? Surely this is close to an all-time record.
