My girlfriend is a WSU student and she said she got an email that said they were giving away free tickets to students. She got an email that said there were 500 free tickets, first come, first served.
If a "promoter brings in" / "WSU accepts" another less than stellar "fan interest" team in the future to IBA, unfortunately, another reason for slow early sales, or for others to not buy at all, has been added. Go ahead, SF. Jump right in. :wink-new:
If you got your tickets early, then you got the best possible seats in whatever price level you picked out. What's left now with the promotional offers are not the premium seats in those price ranges. What you're getting now is what probably should have been the prices of the seats at the beginning for those price levels. For the UPTEENTH time, I have said that this game was overpriced. That fact alone does not mean it wasn't a good game to put on the schedule.
I guess we know the price of WSU basketball these days in Wichita.. :/
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Did any of you guys have to pay an extra processing charge from select-a-seat with your Dealsaver or Groupon deals? I was really happy that the GWASC mailed them to me with no extra charges.
Let's remember that the Sports Commission is not a ticket agency. They bought all of these tickets and are now selling them at a loss because their job is citywide sports promotion. Select-a-Seat is a ticketing agency and like all ticketing agencies now a days, you'll be paying for convenience. If you really think the extra charges here are bad, you should feel lucky that you aren't in a Ticketmaster-controlled region.

I think I'm right behind and above you in the front of 208. I got the 4 tickets for $40 deal from the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commision and was kind of disappointed that I missed out on the 2 for $15 tickets until I got our tix in the mail and saw how good they were, I thought we were going to be in the rafters.

I did the same thing you did. And in fact I had the same regrets about missing the 2 for $15 deal until I got my tickets in the mail. My seats sound like they are very near yours.
I didn't buy tickets earlier because we are always out of town the day after thanksgiving. I went ahead and bought tickets because it looks there is at least a chance I will be back in Wichita on Friday night.

Amen to that. Can be over $10 per ticket here. I kid you not.
