We really need our front court to step up in this game. If the EO that fouled 6 times in 5 minutes at SM shows up, we may be in trouble.

We also need GS to step up & have a good game. I could see after Sunday's game he wasn't really happy with himself, so I foresee a bounceback game from him.

I'm really interested in seeing how Carl Hall matches up against the bigger, more physical players we'll see in Puerto Rico. I agree with everyone's comments about GS needing to play well. One thing that is in our favor is that it appears that when one or 2 players are not playing well,. we have several others that step up and pick up the slack, which is very nice. No player is going to be great day in and day out, and the more options we have, the more consistent the team's performance will be game to game. While it might look better on paper to have some 'star' players scoring every game, I think we've all come to respect the virtues of depth and we have that and then some.

        Shox -- 82
        Buffs -- 74

CU won't roll over and play dead, but I think we'll come out on top.

I know that Colorado had a scrimmage against Creighton, but does anyone know if they had a second scrimmage instead of an exhibition game?

I ask this because their only game to date this season is an 85-57 win over DII Fort Lewis College, but it appears that this was a regular season game not an exhibition.

I am CAUTIOUSLY optimistic about this one. It looks like we'll have a size advantage and more experience, from top to bottom.

                Go Shox!

CU didn't play an exhibition this year.

Here's an article about their first game of the year vs. DII Fort Lewis:

Here's Boulder's newspaper coverage of the BBall team:

CU fans generally only care about football. Their basketball team doesn't get much love. We hardly heard about them here during the NIT.

My take: CU will be tough but WSU should pull this one off. Plants over Mammals by 8.

You could've fooled me! I didn't think there were any CU fans outside of Boulder (if there!)

Jabs at the CU fanbase aside, final score in this one looks closer than it really is - Shocks 80, Buffs 72.

Way too much confidence in our ability to score a ton of points for my liking.....Can't wait to see KCShox weigh in. With his penchant for going against the grain, I suspect he'll predict a 85-62 Buff victory.
