I talked to some of the actives in my fraternity this week to see if they were going and a lot of them had class in the evening. Two more of my fraternity brothers that are working on post grad work had class as well and both are big hoops fans. I think this might be another knock against doing this during the week again, no students.

@_kai_: , what's your feeling on student excitement for this season? Do you get the feeling that a lot of students are ready to go or is it going to be more of the diehards only unless and until there is real promise shown?

I'm not as in tune with the student fan base as I have been, I've been out of college since 07. But I would venture to say that it will be diehards until real promise. Hopefully the real promise comes after Puerto Rico and we can be ranked top 25 if we win the tournament. If not, then maybe midway through the season around the Creighton game at home, will it pick up. But that's pretty normal. Maybe we can get back to the recent peak during the 06 run when we had a great student section.
