I'm pretty sure that when Doc starts complementing Creighton coaches, it is a sign of the apocalypse.

I suppose they'd never make these voter ballots public, eh? Because Indiana State receiving first-place votes is ASININE. It had to be the dweeby beat writer and a couple of Terre Haute "press" personnel that dropped the ball on that one.

Can't really argue with the predictions. The All-MVC team was interesting. Colt Ryan only scores garbage points. That's about it. He's not a first-teamer IMO. Murry was a nice gesture, probably because somebody had to be chosen on the second place team. He needs to improve his shot selection and cut his turnover totals in half to gain serious attention for the All-Valley awards at the end of the year.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

        What did he say?
I am paraphrasing here, but when asked about multiple bids for the conference, McDermott said that MSU and WSU deserved to get in last year but because the rest of the Valley didn't do their job, those 2 schools were left out. He said the other schools let down MSU and Wichita and that those schools must do a better job. The Shocks and Bears didn't get in, and Mac wore it. Pretty good if you ask me.

Well put Fever! You took some flack from your previous comment on TM (notably from yours truely), and while I feel that Toure will be a first teamer, you are correct in your annalysis that he needs to shoot better and turn the ball over less or that will not be the case.

Thanks for noticing wufan. I'm trying...

              Let's hope it happens.

Mac may have "wore it", but I'm sure his shot across the bow was not aimed at CU. Like it or not, this is one area WSU and CU are allies and have a common foe....most of the rest of the Valley.

Wait a second -- has no one told Antoine Young that WSU and Creighton are NOT rivals?

My math could be wrong, but I think with the number of votes received, someone had to pick WSU 4th, possibly lower (although admittedly unlikely). I think we belong at 2 and even picking the Shocks 3 doesn't necessarily mean you are brain damaged, but 4? That's nothing but punitive.

Perault must have snuck a ballot in.

To continue this thought, keep in mind he was playing a position the first half of the season that I dont think he ever claimed to be good at. When you browse his stats the large bulk of turnovers happened in the first half of the season, and his asst/to ratio improved quite a bit just by visual inspection and not calculating it. I think when he is back at the two, he'll show he's a first teamer.

What is studly about him is that he was willing to sacrifice having what may have been a statistically awesome season last year and take on a new role without complaint. That wont win you much press but will make the fans paying attention proud.

"Pollsters have accurately predicted the league’s regular-season champ only 12 times out of 27 since 1985-86, but the pre-season favorite Bluejays can take solace in that 24 of those 27 predicted champs have gone on to post-season play, with 16 of those 24 playing in the NCAAs."
