4th in the NCAA in Player Efficiency Rating. BAM!
16th in the NCAA in field goal percentage. POW!
20th in the NCAA in 2 point field goals. BLAM!
12th in the NCAA in steals. SOCK!
2nd in the NCAA for CAREER Offensive Rating. WHAPOW!
15th in the NCAA for Defensive Rating. ZAP!
4th in the NCAA for Offensive Win Shares. And I don't even know what that means!
3rd in the NCAA for Defensive Win Shares. And I don't know what those are either, but it makes him ...
1st in the NCAA for Win Shares. That's good right?! I'm not actually sure.
9th in the NCAA for Plus/Minus. K.O.!!!
These rankings aren't conference rankings, they are rankings for all NCAA players in the entire COUNTRY.
I mean this guy is a statistic MONSTER!
I know what happened! When he was offered, TheShocktocles took the blue pill. Should have went with the red one!
Rafferty is a really good college player. AM is a really bad on ball defender. In the bottom 10% of the entire NCAA last I checked. JE is not playing to his capabilities right now. This all results in two 7 footers being dominated by a 6'8" player.

A major part of this problem (the argument between Shocktocles and SHOXAAC) is the bastardization of the word Athlete. Unfortunately, the word athlete is being used to describe perceived traits that don't translate well in a a debate.
The word athlete means: A person that is proficient in sports and in physical exercise.
Using this definition Matt Rafferty (he is proficient) is an athlete. To say he is a great athlete is like saying some lady is a little bit pregnant. A person is either pregnant or not pregnant. You are either an athlete or not an athlete.
I once heard Bruce Heartle say on the radio that he could tell by looking at a person if they were a "great athlete." I asked him, "have you seen a picture of Larry Bird?"
There are actually people that say Larry Bird is one of the 10 greatest NBA players of all time, and then in the next breath they say that he was not a great athlete. WTF???
