In past years, after a less than desirable 1st half, the team pretty often turned it around in the 2nd half. Now of course many things most likely were discussed and pointed out during this break, to probably include some rather fatherly motivation concerning getting their acts together.

Whether it sticks or not depends on the attitudes, skill levels, and their capabilities to learn and then most importantly, to actually improve their performance in the second half. What helped us in the past, and especially when we were in the Valley, is that we simply wore out many of the teams in the second period. This most likely is not going to happen very often in the American Conference. In fact, this year the shoe appears to be on bad guy's side, that being them, not us.

There is only so much motivating a coach can do along with pulling miracles out of hats.

We are at best a slightly below average team this year and the hope of many of us that by this stage we would be showing significant improvement just has not materialized, yet.

Maybe, or maybe not, the light will come on today, or one of the future tomorrows.

In the meantime, we as Shocker fans just need to continue supporting our Team, our Coach, and foremost, our Players.
