Thought coach Marshall was a little 'edgy' last night; maybe had a burr under his saddle. Regardless, he's always highly entertaining. Teddy might have planted the "burr". :)

Thank you and gnoMe for the information from people who obviously know what was going on. From the drama that a few expressed on here, you would have thought it was of substance. In the day of social media, some people sure are attracted to drama.

So does anyone care to repost the story that was apparently deleted? I'm not sure what the penchant for secrecy is around here. The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

If so, that Sunrise team had a forward deluxe who I would love to see play for the Shocks.

Classic SAD ("Shockernet attention deficit") as the Marshall coach's show thread morphs into a recruiting discussion about Sunrise...

Being a little tough WSUwatcher given it was Marshall who said on the show he was spending 3 days this week on the recruiting trail with the last day being local.

Thought it was a good, insightful show tonight. If you listen all the way to the end, very funny comment that it’s difficult to compete in the AAC, as opposed to the valley, particularly when you’re not buying players. Ha!

Topshock, don't think it was a crack at Memphis. Memphis has an advantage because Penny wasn't encumbered by NCAA regulations for the preceding years, and essentially had unlimited visits and unlimited facetime with his star recruits. Reminds me of when Huggins had the year off before he was hired by K-State, and brought in Beasley and the rest of that recruiting class he had been chatting up freely in the interim.

To summarize, trying to get guys to play with more fire. Would rather guys go full steam for 90 seconds and get a sub than go 80% for 2 or 3 minutes. Need everyone going to the boards. Only had 4 guys rebounding against Cincy. Need to get better at passing, have been spoiled the last 11 years having NBA guards on the roster. Compared IPBC a bit like Shaq and Durley, big hips, needs motivation. Recruited one too many 5 men, will be difficult when they’re all healthy. Udeze doesn’t have great skill but he plays harder than the other posts. Still trying to recruit higher level players for this conference, not buying players.
