If it were actually a home game...but it's not. It's a neutral court game. Which is the same reason why Maui tickets were not included in the season ticket package last year or the LSU game.
I could understand that argument if it was true. Sullentrop (on shockwaves) said this game would be a home game for rpi purposes. Is he wrong or are u wrong?
How does rpi equate to season ticket sales? Those are not even apples/oranges, they're more like football/cancer.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Welcome to big-time college athletics. If you want to run with the big boys on a consistant basis, it's all about money. Time to put-up or shut-up about scheduling. Because, as DSB said, the two are closely linked.

We're both right...you're wrong. So you're saying because RPI calls it a "home game" that makes it a home game? That's the worst argument I've read on this thread so far...

Using that logic, KU's games at the Sprint Center should be included to season ticket holders because RPI considers those home games.

Rpi doesn't call it anything, the NCAA does. The NCAA has rules that determine whether a game is a home, away or neutral. Anybody with any discernment should conclude a basketball game held in the home city (Wichita)and between 2 team, one being wsu and a team from Alabama, that game would be considered a "home game".

If wsu was holding this game in kc I would have no expectation of it being part of the season ticket package. So I would say your logic us bad.

Sorry, again let me specify, I'm using YOUR logic, not mine in determining what tickets should be included and which should not. The NCAA calculates RPI, therefore let me type it again... KU games at the Sprint Center are considered HOME games and they are NOT included in the season ticket package. LSU's game last year against us was considered a HOME game for LSU but was NOT in their season ticket package.

IBA is NOT associated with WSU, therefore it is NOT assumed tickets would be apart of the season ticket package. WSU worked out a special deal last year to use IBA and get tickets included for season ticket holders. This year the game is being put on by an idependant promoter and is the only reason UAB is coming here. This isn't new news anyway, it was announced way back when we found out that the game was being played. If anything UAB is the one getting screwed, they have to drive 13 hours and pay the same price as us.

SB, would this be better for you if the game was played in Dodge City, Enid, Joplin or Salina? I think just because the game is in Wichita, many people associate it with a home game.

WSU agreed to a neutral site game with UAB (NCAA team last year) in which they are paid the same amount no matter if there are 100 fans or 15k fans in attendance. The game just so happens to be in Wichita, because thats where the promoter thinks he can make the most money.

This is an awesome deal for WSU financially and also helps in the fact that we don't have to travel to play a game or pay to bring in a Savannah State or the like.

You mean we actually get a freaking home court advantage in a neutral game? Has that EVER happened before last year? Welcome to big time!

Now ... does anybody know when the tickets go on sale? Do season ticket holders have priority or a day or two in advance to purchase tickets?

                    I want good seats!

Based on your giving levels you will have the option of purchasing seats in the upper level.

Just so I have this straight, you would have been happier if this game were the exact same scenario, except played in Alabama?

Nobody is arguing that it isn't a home game.

The earliest date is September 13th, at least for those in my bosses' pecking order (which is pretty high).

They give you a code to use when calling the IBA ticket office or on-line at slectaseat .com. The order for selection is determined by your SASO priority points. Same process used for MVC Tourmanment and Post-Season seating.

The letter did not say how long the window is until sales are open to the general public.
