    Rags
    Murry
    Smith
    Hall
    Stutz

DWill gets most of the remaining minutes at PG.
Murry sees a few minutes at PG and DWill a few minutes at SG.
A lot of options at the two and three.
    Post play and minutes.

most of the teams in the valley go small its usually 4 guards and one pathetic center; besides creighton with their big guy and van deest most teams dont have a true center that can score so we can go small like all the other valley teams and be just fine

I agree ShockTalk. I keep seeing posters put David at the 3 and I have yet to see him play there. He always plays the 2, often with Toure moving over to the 3. I also see your point about Toure, David and Ben taking the bulk of the minutes at the 2 - 3. I would expect to see Ede get the remaining minutes (not very many) at the 3 and DWill getting a few minutes at the 2. Where things could change would be in the event of an injury or if David should happen to go back to his inconsistant play of his 1st 2 years. I don't think that will happen, but if it did, DWill would be ready to step up and back up both Rags at the PG and Toure at the 3.

If any of our freshmen play major minutes I will be pleasently surprised.

And they might, but the way we are set up now, they don't HAVE TO.

If you don't like Kyles at the 3 in these lineups, you can EASILY flip he and Toure in that lineup. There's not a huge difference between the two positions the way we run our offense for the most part.

Kyles, Toure and Smith will get most of the 2/3 minutes. I believe Ede will get the rest. Rags and DWill will get the PG minutes. DWill might get some at the 2. Stutz and Hall will get most of the minutes inside, as many as they can handle. I'm hoping Ehimen can do enough to give Stutz the relief that he'll need. I expect White to contribute and play a decent amount this year. If we have 80 minutes in the post, I'd say 55 or so of that will be Stutz and Hall. Ehimen hopefully can do enough to give us 10. White can give us 15. If Ehimen can't give us that, Hall will play some 5 with White and Anacreon at the 4.

I think there are two primary factors that dictate where the minutes can/will go. One is that Kyles can’t play anywhere except the 2. I’ll agree that offensively the 3 is indistinguishable in our offense, but I don’t think he can defend a 3. The other is Stutz’ conditioning limiting his productive minutes; I would love to be proven wrong, but until I see otherwise I don’t think he can go more than 25 a game. And that’s with 4 breaks.

Here’s how I thought it might roughly break down:

                1 – Ragland 30, Williams 8, Murry 2
                2 – Kyles 21, Murry 15, Williams 4
                3 – Smith 20, Egharevba 12, Murry 8
                4 – Hall 27, Anacreon 13
                5 – Stutz 25, Orupke 12, Hall 3

                Ragland 30
                Hall 30
                Murry 25
                Stutz 25
                Kyles 21
                Smith 20
                Anacreon 13
                Williams 12
                Egharevba 12
                Orupke 12
                Total 200

                Other random thoughts:

I’d prefer to have Rags out there for 35 or 40, but Williams needs minutes to stay involved and there aren’t enough available at the only other position he can play.

I hope Hall’s conditioning is there to play 30.

I limited EE, JA, and EO’s minutes as newcomers – hopefully one of them earns 20 a game (JA or EO) and can take a few minutes from Hall at the 4.

Anything from Wessel or White is a plus.

Sub, I hope I'm so wrong about White that you roll up this post and hit me over the head with it at the end of the season.

Given Marshall's tempered comments and noting that he's "struggled out of the gate" due to exercise-induced asthma, I don't think there's any way he can give us 15.

It's a big jump from high school to college, and he may need a year to acclimate.

I like how you made your presentation, Good News, so I'll use it with my own tweek.

                      1 - Ragland 28, DWill 12
                      2 - Kyles 23, Murry 12, DWill 5
                      3 - Smith 21, Murry 15, Egharevba 4
                      4 - Hall 20, Anacreon 13, White 7
                      5 - Stutz 25, Hall 10, Orupke 5

                      Hall 30
                      Ragland 28
                      Murry 27
                      Stutz 25
                      Kyles 23
                      Smith 21
                      DWill 19
                      Anacreon 13
                      White 7
                      Orupke 5
                      Egharevba 4

With good depth, HCGM will probably hand out minutes comparable to last year. If a healthy Hall plays less than 30, that should be a good sign by other players.

At this time, I don't see Orupke skills allowing him to play more. Getting Anacreon was not to take all minutes away from White as much as it was to allow Hall to shore up the 5 and to reduce the amount of time asked of the freshman. We all have our fingers crossed hoping for at least 25 minutes from Stutz. If not, expect all but Hall to see additional minutes.

In a season where Murry is in the running for Valley POY, I don't see him playing fewer minutes than he has ever played before. Short of Ragland getting into bad foul trouble or a meltdown, I hope Murry stays away from the 1. I, too, believe DWill will play a bigger role than before and that Kyles will be more consistant in his senior year.

I don't know if Egharevba getting your 12 minutes as a freshman, given the senior laiden 2/3 positions, is a good sign or a bad one. I'll hope that you feel he's just too good to keep on the bench.

Sadly, Hall probably won't get more than 20 minutes a game. His minutes will be watched due to his heart being too small.

I've been told this about 5 times. BUT never by him or coach. Which are obviously the best options for info.

If that is indeed the case, then the need for James A was an obvious must!
