C'mon. The guy had a tough year this year beginning with his injury and it was all bad luck. The negativity in this thread isn't becoming of Shocker fans, and it isn't a true marker of MM's abilities. He was great his Sophomore year, he has very fine talent, and the bad luck he had this year coming back late isn't who he will be next year and in the future.

Markis isn't ready for the NBA this year, but he still has very good talent and I'm behind him as a Shocker. Everyone else should be too.

No. Everyone knew he was coming back. His scholarship wasn't spent.

No. We have 13 scholarship players including Markis. Markis returning is not a surprise.

4 returning scholarship players - Markis, Samajae, Asbjorn and Rod - plus 9 incomeing scholarship players (1 transfer + 2 Jucos + 6 freshmen) + 1 preferred walk-on to go along with the 2 returning walks-ons (Brycen and Jacob) = 13 scholarship players plus 3 walk-ons.

He contributed in big ways to some very big wins in his time wearing the Black & Gold. All championship teams have competitors like that. We had 4 opportunities at a trophy (ring) of some sort this season and came up 0-4.
