  • Past Opponents Question

    1. In the past 10 years, who was the highest caliber player on a team WSU beat? And if you want to split the question, on national t.v. and untelevised.

    2. Biggest upset win by WSU in the past 10 years. This one doesn't have to be by the numbers. Opinion is great.

      Glen "baby" Davis, LSU?

      Tennessee, NCAA Tournament?

I was thinking big baby and Tennessee, but I didn't know if I was overlooking anything

          1. Kyle Korver and Big Baby are doing the best in the NBA right now. Not sure if the LSU game was on national tv or not, I'm sure one of the Creighton games was on at some point.

          2. LSU and Syracuse in '06-'07, Tennessee in '05-'06, and at the time beating Texas Tech a couple years back was a big deal.

Norris Cole is another name to put on the list.

Some players we played in this years NIT might make the list.
Tennessee vastly over ranked, would be our biggest victory.

I know you asked for one game, but lumping the three games we won in a row (I think) against LSU, Syracuse, and GMU in 2006/07 got us a national ranking of #8 in the country.

Ryan Gomes of Providence was pretty good.

Obryant and Nevadas Babbitt were both draft picks, I believe.

As much as it pains me to say, I would take Korver over big baby any day of the week and twice today. Especially if you're going by college performance.

Also, Andrew Goudelock was drafted this year in the 2nd round.

There was that Pac 10 1st team player we played. Well his team played & he sat on bench. He was drafted this year. Sorry for lack of details. It was a highly touted played who was drafted., but. Was completely shut down the Shox.

Biggest upset has to be @ Syracuse in the 2007 season. Syracuse wasn't as food tht year as they were ranked at the time we played them, but betaing them in their building is always a great win. For any team

the way it ended, with Braeuer blocking a shot, adds to the "upset" value of the game.

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
