I would think that before making this kind of move Matt had a detailed discussion with MT. Matt was a favorite of MT's and I would think there would have been some kind of promise for the future in this move. As Larry Brown is to MT, MT is to Matt. I can't believe that Turgeon would do anything that would harm Matt's progression.Comment

Seems to me that a "video coordinator" would do a lot of work with videos of recruits. That's not recruiting. Then, of course, he'd have to contact a lot of HS and AAU coaches to get videos for the staff to review. That's not recruiting.
Matt has some PG skills, and is still young. He knows MT's system like he knows his mother. He could end up playing in some pickup games. That's not coaching. MT might even use him as an extra body in practices. That's still not "coaching". He'd just be running the offense from the PG position.
Don't get hung up with job titles. Being in constant contact with coaches of recruits isn't recruiting. Telling players where to be from the PG position on the court isn't coaching. Analyzing an opponent from tape isn't coaching.
I think Matt is doing fine with advancing his coaching career. He will be building up contacts for recruiting, evaluating recruits, analyzing opponents, probably demonstrating plays as a player - not a coach. Doing all that stuff in the ACC is pretty heady stuff for a guy who's porbably 25.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
