We must seize this game and no excuses in the process . SMU is missing their 2 best players and slowing down the game to their liking and have only 7 Ship players. It's our for the taking and we do expect a win because no excuses could explain a loss today. Sure the SMU player being guarded made the last long shot. However, we seize the games as the superior team should, things like that don't matter. Go Shocks because we really need this win and it is ours for the taking. Any bets on the butt chewin' in the locker room . . . letting SMU hang around and believe they can win (with only basically 7 players as "options" to see the court) - not acceptable effort on either end in the first half! Sloppy with the ball, tentative attacking the half court press, not guarding the 3 point line (apparently didn't learn from the game in Wichita that is SMU's game), and pretty much lackluster effort from everyone - no sense of urgency or desire to bury these guys in the first half (I think Cincy had them down by almost 30 at half there at Moody)!
Just don't understand why this team continues to play "down" to competition when they have shown the effort and ability to beat a team like Cincy at their house?Comment
