Miss State sounds good. Top 150 RPI program, looking for a Top 200 program to start a series with? Sign me up. I've liked beating up on SEC teams recently.

In the past they have not credited or asked for more money after finalizing the schedule.
True, they do already have my money... :-x

The revenue argument is definitely something to be factored in.
There are so many factors that come into play with RPI, we really have no clue unless you're the programer that calculates the RPI as to what exactly causes thoses jumps one day at a time.

The same day we beat Bradley, did other teams ranked around us win against higher RPI teams causing them to pass us?

Did some of our past opponents also lose that day causing our RPI to be worth less?

Did opponents opponents lose that day?

Lots of stuff to look at, but winning against a bad team alone isn't going to make us drop.

I will weigh in here as well. I think ORU would be a bad idea, since we already have the Tulsa series. It wouldn't help things. Honestly, I like what 3G is preparing for this year. We have some good home opponents, and a nice tourney, and a roadie against Tulsa. This is the right time to take a chance on getting a H and H with a more well known name. We have had success with this method in the past (providence). Granted, you run the risk you get stuck with a cupcake, but I think your have to take that chance this year since the following year our MWC game will be on the road. I don't think Gregg would turn down Miss. St. or similar opponents if they came asking for a H and H. But I think we could do better than ORU or Dayton.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

I'd actually like to see a cupcake or two on the schedule so that we can witness someone actually wet their pants when EO comes off the bench.

I am really tired of cupcakes. It seems like the entire home schedule (non-con) the last couple of years has been nothing but cupcakes. Even if it were only weak BCS teams that would be a lot better than the two directional schools that nobody has every heard of.

It would be nice to see a Arizona or Kstate or Okie State or UNL or Penn State even come in here to play.

That was the thing I liked best about the NIT is that we got to play some non-cupcakes and a couple of the games were even at home.
