Front-runner fans (most of KU’s fan base) have some weird behavior when another entity threatens their brand. They feel a sense of social superiority by their chosen associations, and so when that hierarchy doesn’t fall in line with what they bought in to then they go a little sideways in the head.

That's pretty standard fare over there. Reasonable fans of any school, including KU, generally avoid that site. There are a few posters there who try to be objective observers and commenters, but they get shouted down quickly. It's mostly people who think they're better than everybody else just because they are KU fans.

Very true...Phog Net is not particularly well moderated. Standards here on Shockernet seem to be maintained at reasonable level. I should know because I've been on Phog Net for years. Like the freedom there but you pay a price with slanderous stuff like this being allowed.
