I was kind of surprised to hear, during the Maui tournament, that Rashard has never missed a game. When you think about all the opportunities for injury or illness, he is an iron man!

Suellentrop tweeted yesterday that Brown's injury was a strain and he was held out for precautionary reasons. That was really no news at all. We already knew that. Since nothing more serious was reported, I think we can assume (yeah, yeah, I know) that his injury is nothing serious.

I think it is premature to say it was nothing serious since Coach said Brown was going to do an MRI to make sure there was no damage.

That MRI was suppose to have been done yesterday. I'm sure they have the results by now. That doesn't mean we are going to find out anything before Saturday. But I don't believe a final conclusion regarding Zach's knee is known at this point.

In regards to ligament strains, I can say that they can be a bit pesky. I had a bad UCL strain in my elbow that eventually upended my baseball career as a pitcher. Doctors couldn’t tell if it was torn due to the imaging on the MRI being gummed up from the strain (I really don’t have any idea what a strain looks like on MRI so maybe someone could enlighten me). It seems to me that knees are typically more resilient than elbows, but I hope ZB’s strain was mild in nature. He didn’t seem to be favoring it moving around on the sideline so hopefully he’s ready to come back Saturday and pick up where he left off offensively against the zone. I don’t worry about him on defense much.

Landry practiced lightly yesterday and is expected to play tomorrow. Zach hasn't practiced and is day to day as they await MRI results.
