Aren't those one time payments?

I read it that under that contract another $100,000 more next year. I expect there will be a new contract however.

When you go after a great coach running a great program determined to kept the coach happy, you should expect to be disappointed.

kind of funny tho, they were all saying all along, that they get always get marshall if they wanted him, but they all had him 3rd or 4th on their list.

So if I read that right, he made $750k plus $400k in his 4th year for $1.15 million total?

Yes, and if he kept the same contract (unlikely) he would have gotten $1.25 mil next year.

Looks the hiring of Frank Haith at Mizzou was approved and is now official.

Perhaps Mizzou wanted to make sure they hired a coach no one would want to steal away.

KC area Mizzou fans were somewhat more optimistic this morning with the rumors that Haith is bringing Jeff Capel in as an assistant, or associate head coach. Was not confirmed in the news conference this morning, but if true, seems to be getting positive response...

I wonder how much they threw at Gottfried.

I actually liked his color on the ESPN broadcasts during the NIT. It's a shame now I'll have to root against him because I now don't want NC State to succeed in anything. Not really going out on a limb with that one though.
