What are they hitting on 3G's personality for, he has a very good personality?

And recruiting, a recruit would turn down offers because of who the school is, and NC State is certainly not among the elite, and I am not sure about the second tier either.

Seems like a very low amount. One thing that makes me doubt it, or if this one is true, it might not be accepted.

That is the amount he said the school could offer for a big time (proven and already at a BCS school) coach. Not that it is what they would pay for Marshall specifically.

"Andy Furman, a news reporter from Cincinnati, has said there is a rumor we've offered Mick Cronin 7 years/15 mil"

For what it's worth, he posted that on his twitter yesterday and there was a question mark after it. But at least this guy is an actual reporter.

SHOMVC clearly not a finance guy. Present value of 2 mil over five versus 1 mil over ten is much higher given almost any risk scenario. Particularly if there's a buyout clause, which there would be. It's not a guarantee that he is safe forever at WSU. String together a few disappointing season and voila..gone. When your well-being is largely dependent on the actions of 18-22 year old boys it's better to get paid today than tomorrow.

Has anyone heard whether Mike Kennedy got another Coach's Show set up for Monday? Even if Marshall is still in Dallas for the Championship Game, they could still do it by telephone (they did for GS when he was in Hawaii)

Sunday afternoon a source close to the VCU basketball program confirmed to me that Alden left a voicemail with Teague today.
Teague nor Smart has responded to Alden.
I have since confirmed through the same VCU source and a major college athletic director that North Carolina State is in hot pursuit of Smart, with the Wolfpack prepared to offer a more generous financial package that what Missouri was likely to propose to the VCU coach.

Didn't someone say the NABC is having their annual meetings during their Final Four and that is why he went to Houston. Of course all of the coach's network and go to the various booths where all of the national College/University AD's have sign up sheets & give aways.
