Since the thread has developed a highly religious tone let's hope the Shocks are not satisfied with one good game and that they have adopted a "Mission From God" attitude that Jake and Elwood would be proud of.

Maybe that can find an Evangelical church with a Rev. Cleophus James for some divine inspiration.

He'd be a great point guard.

He's a natural born leader. He likes to help (assist) others.

He wouldn't have any steals though.

He rebounds very well and he never fouls plus he rarely, if ever, misses.

He could also play the 2-guard because all his shots are pure.

I agree they are giving us a lot of respect.

Another thing I noticed while skimming their message board is that VT (like Okie St) apparently ignored the NIT ticket rules. On several different places on their message board they talked about the students getting in for free. Apparently students only had to show their student ID to get into the NIT game.

Also it sounds like their NIT ticket prices range from $5 to $15. One guy asked how much tickets for Sunday's game cost and another answered you can get them for $5 on line, another said you can get them for $5 in front of the arena.

There was another post about tickets costing $15. But at any rate it sounds like they are letting students in for free and charging less than normal prices for everyone else.

I just checked the Virginia Tech web site and the students get in free again on Sunday.

Also according to the Roanoke, VA newspaper the attendance at Wednesday nights game was 2892 including 1316 students who got in free.

I guess the NIT rules really don't apply to BCS teams.

I wondering if students are "getting in for free" but the Uni is still paying the NIT the $4 or something.

I paid $15 for my GA public ticket online and will make the 4-hour drive from Manassas to Blacksburg that morning (yawn).

I expect a very competetive game.

I can't stand boards like that. Some have options to change it, but I can't find one there.

Anybody have any good places for a family to go watch the game? My family and I are coming to Wichita for the baseball game and then staying a couple days so my son can go to the WSU spring baseball camp. I don't want to miss the basketball, but to leave in time to make it to the baseball game I would have to leave around half time. So I was thinking about coming out early on Sunday and find a place to watch the game and then I wouldn't have to either leave and miss some of the game, or be way late to the baseball game. I have a hotel room for Sunday, but I doubt they will let me check in at like 9:30 or 10 Sunday morning. Thanks.
