  • I really can't imagine 3200 more people fitting into the roundhouse tonight, but the arena is deceptive.

The rows at the top hold a lot more people than those at the bottom.

So while it also looked like more than 7336 to me, I am sure the number is right.

I am just glad we were a loud 7000 tonight in spite of about 300 UNL fans sprinkled in.

I know it's been asked or said, but where was that team at the last month? Awesome job!
I'm so jealous. Wish I was able to get away and spend the day watching the Shockers play in Baseball and Basketball against two good teams. Its very rare to happen on the same day, in such beautiful weather at home!

Kinda like watching the Royals and Chiefs play the same day last year on a Monday.

        • Also didnt know if anyone else noticed this, but I saw Lynn cheering her butt off and raising her arms throughout the whole game on TV. The HCGM and family really seem to love the Shockers. I doubt they leave anytime soon. Plus with Wessel and P. Ellis coming in, why would they ;)

And after a call he had no position to see and the overturned out of bounds call, I was hoping he wasn't going to make a crucial call.
He made at least 3 of those calls tonight. I'd like to hear one of our ref's opinion on this guy.

Lynn is always a very active and passionate participant at Shocker games.

I noticed. I was sitting 4 rows directly behind Dr. Osborne. He left at half time and he never returned to his seat.

While some Shocker fans were talking to him and asking for their picture to be taken with him, most of the people bothering him were red clad UNL fans.

I sit up near the top of 119 and noticed it.

Snapped a picture of him being pestered too. Icing on the cake. :D

You don't want to be near Lynn UNLESS you're willing to BRING IT.

Don't mess with Mrs. 2G. She is passionate, can handle herself, represents, and is a player. Chances are you can't beat her in a game of 1-1.

I noticed he left....Didn't realize that's where he ended up. Figured he went to the Champions Club or something.

Speaking of sweet digs....did anyone happen to get a good look at the N bus?

                        • If anyone wants to see Toure' make an appearance in the ESPN Top 10, it'll be on in a minute or two. ESPNEWS Highlight Express.

EDIT: False advertising, I guess. They showed Toure's layup and went to a commercial. I'm sure it's going to make an appearance on ESPN sometime tonight.

                          • Came home after the game and watched the game on DVR. The crowd looked very good on TV.

The announcers were very complimentary of our crowd several times. At the end of the game they even gave the crowd (as well as the team) kudos for bringing their A game tonight.

Before the game, the announcer said "we will have a great crowd tonight because quite frankly that's what happens every time Wichita State plays in this building."

Another real good line from early in the game was something like "Break out the ear muffs, you would think it was the final 4 not the first round of the NIT".

                            • We sat in our regular seats, recognized practically NOBODY. Down in the bowl, in the corporate seats, there were tons of young people. It would not surprise me if over half of those present are not regular attendees. (and much younger)

                              • I'd speculate that about 50% is pretty darned close to the number of regulars in my section, which is about as corporate as it gets.

There were a lot more than a few "notable" absences. Some frankly, stunning.
