I think what you've actually been told is that it's virtually impossible when you expect home-and-homes with power-conference teams. It can be done easily if you submit to a buy game or go for an unbalanced schedule like a 2-for-1 or 3-for-2.
hmmm, pretty sure I specifically said go on the road. Besides we can't even get home and homes with equal mid majors without bracket busters...no?
Where in the post that I quoted did you say anything about going on the road, specifically or otherwise?

According to GMU fans, our coach turned down such an offer, so I don't think that's gonna happen.
You automatically believe that third hand rumor?
That GMU fan is pretty respected around here. Until I here confirmation of the reversal, then yes.
boy, must be big news for GMU to talk about WSU turning them down. wonder how many more of the scheduling talks they know about. odd you would take a fan of another team as gospel and not ask for the proof of WSU actually turning GMU down. at least he's well respected. guess that makes it a well respected third hand rumor.

Royal, not trying to be a d here but what post did you quote?

I may have misunderstood your original statement. I took it as saying I was suggesting we could get home and homes with power teams. Maybe this is not what you were saying?

I was simply highlighting that one of the main arguments for bracketbusters is that those matchup can't happen without it. Virtually impossible is my understanding. I recall someone even claiming getting one and dones with good teams are impossible. So I was just pointing out that if this is the case then you can forget scheduling up. I don't believe any of it.

What if WSU pushed the idea of home and homes to schools that are interested in city-league talent? There has to be some angles that would appeal to schools on a recruiting basis.

Well, gee, I guess I feel a bit more confident in that fan's thinking than our continued history in subpar scheduling. If you have proof otherwise, then show it. Or keep your mouth shut. :)

there is no proof on either side of the matter. so i guess you should keep your mouth shut as well. but we all know that isnt possible.

                  Our scheduling is like insanity:

Insanity - Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

All WSU had to do was win games..... The post for two more home and home series and one buy game effectively reduces the home schedule by two games a year... Some years it could be worse... Just win games and we are not having this conversation. This year the shockers had five opportunities to change the results significantly, but didn't.
